Calvary greetings to you all in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that this report finds you all in good health. The month of August was full of lots of Church activities that included national men’s lectureship, youth as well as women’s lectureship.
On the first week of August 2025, brother Nyarukowa, brother Ndikudzei and I visited Mbiriri village where we knocked several homes and shared the gospel to both to the old and to the youth. Many of the people whom we met showed much interest to listen to the gospel which we shared with them. I am happy to say that we had one old man, a Mozambican native, who showed his continued interest to come and worship with us every Sunday. Pray that the Lord will continue opening his heart to the gospel as we continue studying with him the Word of God. His name is Antonio Alberto. The man can't read but he is a good listener.
On the 2nd week we spent 5 days of follow up for all our prospects in Chipunza village. It was good as we met with them. Some were very interested in asking questions. We continued encouraging them to study. We also managed to give them some tracts with some questions at the end.
On the 3rd week of August 2025, brother William Mukuze and I managed to visit Nyazura farm prison where we delivered two sermons and distributed some English Bible tracts to the inmates as well as to the staff. There is still a great need for some Bibles for distribution.
We held several rotational Bible studies in the homes of our church members. I taught on the book of 1 Peter 3. On every Bible study that we did every participant were able to withdraw his or her own lessons and it was so good.
I am so happy to inform you that the Lord has blessed me with a new wife by the name Brenda. After two and half years since Esther went to be with the Lord, I decided that I should remarry. Brenda was also a widow and was a member of Church of Christ at Jubilee in Mutare. Please pray for us.
On the 29th of August 2025 we met as church at our worshipping place. We spent the whole day praying and fasting. We prayed for our mission work, prayed for our children as they will be going back to school on Tuesday after a month’s holiday. We prayed for our country as well as our struggling church members that the Lord will continue strengthening them despite all the challenges. Lastly, we also had time to pray for the church at Oregon.
We had three national lectureship during the month of August 2025. The first one was the youth lectureship and we had only two of our youths who went for that lectureship. Then followed by men’s lectureship. I failed to attend due to some financial challenges but I am told that it went very well and many who attended were really blessed. Lastly there was women lectureship which was held in Bulawayo. We had only two ladies from our congregation who managed to attend that lectureship. Their report was that the lectureship went very well.
I preached three Sundays and taught adults Bible class for two Sundays. Brother Zumbika preached on one Sunday whilst brother Ndikudzei taught Bible class for two Sundays. Our average church attendance for August 2025 was 27 while our Sunday collection averaged $20 USD.
Lastly we continue praying for you all and not forgetting our brother Joshua. We wish him a speedy recovery.
We love you all.
Nhamo and Brenda Mumba
