Grace mercy and peace to you from God the Father and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The rains in March was not pleasing, little rain was recorded especially our area, our maize were in need of water since they were on tasseling stage. The first week l accompanied Bro Kamutambo to Chisuko in Honde Valley for tombstone unveiling. Our birthdays together with my son were in sorrow. The second week we attended Sunday fellowship at Nyakunu Church of Christ, the same day l attended funeral and preached. The third week together with my wife we visited four families. On the 4th week the MGM team finalized the church service programme, l was given an assignment of informing preachers who will be preparing sermons the end of April.
Bro Kamutambo a preacher at DC and Chisuko church of Christ in Honde Valley invited me to preach at Maunze home during tombstone placement of their late father. People gathered were 150. l was informed by Sister Mandianike to stay alert on the phone that her son was released from prison when l was about to preach. I quickly informed my wife to lock the gate and five minutes later he passed our house with a furious face. I preached to people when my heart was troubled after he spoke before the police that l need to retaliate after coming back from prison. I preached a very good sermon about unity. I informed the multitude about my challenges and they all prayed for me. On Sunday the 2nd we gathered at our house fearing to go to church since he promised to burn our house and its true since he had three houses he burned but no legal action was taken since everyone feared him. Church members were worried about Sister Mandianike and her son's behaviour. Church members cried as l explained what really happened. We started locking our gate after this tragedy. On the 4th-5th we celebrated our birthdays with Leal my fear was great about a habit of threatening to kill me, intimidate harass, provoke, insult and promises to kill me. Leal is 7 years l am 42. l pray for peace with my family.
On the 9th is my brother’s birthday Ricky aged 49, 9 members from Bazel went to Nyakunu others did not due to financial problems. Bro Marunga is the resident minister, Bro Bere preached about, "Naaman listen" Bro Sadze, a student at Mutare school of preaching song led and Br Mushumbi presided at the Lord's table. 178 people attended and the giving was $55. When I was travelling back l received a call from Br Mafusire a preacher at Derembwe Church of Christ near Nyakunu 5km away. He informed me about the death of Mr. Binde not a Church member, but his wife and family are Church members. I preached the service at night of 1200 people. We slept there. On the 10th we buried him, and Bro Marange from Hills View preached to 2000 people. He was 78 years and left a wife with seven daughters.
On the 11th l was called by the police to get the outcome of Agripah's case. The policeman who attended the court with him said the jail is full and there's no food, by the mercies of God he was forgiven his case was a jail sentence. He was given 26 days of work at Mwandiambira primary school, he was passing our house everyday as they stay 300m away, shouting at me on daily basis using vulgar languages as l appealing to court to help me by granting my application for peace order. The 12th l attended funeral of an old man Mr Chikafu a former headmaster at Munyarari primary of my father. He was 104 years old; the people who attended funeral were 2500. United Methodist church was leading the programme. I was asked pray in church.
The third week on the 22nd together with my wife we did personal evangelism as we visited sister Chadzingwa who lost her uncle. We sympathized with her and she was happy to see us we offered a prayer. We pass on at Chimonyo, Chiwedere and Mashayamombe, the total distance we covered was 10km.
The 4th week MGM committee finalised the programme l nominated this year's theme,"Sin Messes Up Everything Dan 5:27." Our meeting dates are 25-27 April. I harvested the remaining maize on the 25th thank God I produce 6by 20kg. The other half was destroyed by a sick drug mind. An axe forgets but a remaining stump will not forget.
On the 26-27th l called the preachers on the programme and gave them subjects to preach. All responded positively except Bro Mushati a preacher at Nhedziwa church of Christ who was given a Lord's table duty. He gave an excuse. We agreed not to publicise the programme to people, especially preachers who were not selected to participate to avoid criticism. Others will not come by looking at preachers on the programme, this happened at Ngangu Chimanimani. Outgoing committee members are our great enemies, they protested against a heavy duty tent we bought but looking at the 15 years they led, nothing tangible was achieved. We were safe with a demonstration that happened in rural areas. We pray for peace in our country, violence is an enemy to development.
