May 2026 Mission Report from Zimbabwe, Africa

Dear Brethren,

Greetings to you all in the name of our Lord Jesus. It is our prayer that this report finds you all in good health. The month of May was very cold, and many people were stricken with a strong flu. But we want to thank the Lord for taking care of us throughout the whole month of May.

1. Door-to-Door Knocking

During the first week of May, Brother Ndikudze, Nyarukowa, Zumbika, and I teamed up and went to Tokoyo Village, where we conducted door-to-door knocking for three days. We met several people, both young and old, and shared the gospel of salvation. We also conducted some Bible lessons with topics such as baptism, church, and music. Some brought their friends and neighbours as we presented the Bible lesson. There are two young men who are coming as a result of this effort. We are still continuing to study the Word of God with them.

2. Feeding Program

During the second week of May, I visited Chitora Primary School. While there, I managed to conduct devotion at the school assembly. During tea time, I noticed that many of the students were very happy and showing signs of joy. One of the students, by the name of James, aged 11, said, “After we started receiving food at the school, things began to change.” He went on to say, “I thank the Lord because I feel healthy. I no longer doze in class, and I want to thank the Church of Christ for bringing this program.” You can see the above last picture with some students showing signs of happiness.

3. Prison Ministry

During the third week of May, Brother Mukuze and I visited Littlekraal Prison in Nyazura. While there, Brother Mukuze preached the first sermon, and after that I also presented a Bible lesson on salvation. Later on, one of the prisoners asked us to share his touching testimony, which led him up in jail. You can have a look at the second picture of that young man. He is currently serving his final six months after 14 years for rape. He is now a born-again child of God after we baptized him.

4. Sunday Fellowship

During the fourth week of May, I went to Mukamba Church of Christ for a gospel week. Then, on Sunday, we all met as churches of Christ in Makoni District for a Sunday fellowship. The attendance was over 200 people. Our guest preacher was Brother Marunga from Nyakuni Church of Christ.

5. Visiting Mukamba Secondary School and Mukamba Clinic

On the 29th of May, Brother Mushumbi Jr. and I visited both Mukamba Secondary School and Mukamba Clinic. While at the school, I preached the gospel both to the students and the school staff. At the clinic, I did the same and offered some prayers for the patients who were present.

6. Drought Situation

The month of May 2026 marked the hungriest time of the year in Makoni South District. Many of the people in the area depend on agriculture, but this year they harvested nothing. For many people in the area, including our church members, life is going to be very hard until next April, when we will be expecting another harvest.

7. Church Attendance, Preaching, and Contributions

I preached three Sundays, while Brother Nyatsine preached one Sunday. Brother Zumbika taught Bible class throughout the whole month. Our average church attendance was 32, while our contributions averaged $15.00.

8. Prayer Requests

• Pray for our mission work as well as my family.
• Pray for our building project.
• Pray for all our struggling church members. Sometimes our Sunday service attendance is affected because some members fail to come to church as a result of hunger.
