Once again, Ron and the OC church will be teaming up with the Northwest School of Discipleship to host a summer intern.
This year our intern will be Hunter Brockman from Memphis, TN. Hunter is a member of the Great Oaks Church of Christ and is a junior Bible major at Freed-Hardeman University in Nashville, TN. He wants to be a full-time pulpit minister. He enjoys outdoor activities and sports. This will be his first time visiting the Northwest, so perhaps you can show him around. He’s never seen the Pacific Ocean.
We need someone who can house him while he’s here. Let one of the elders know if you’d like to be added to the list. As we establish his schedule, we will try to make opportunities for you to take him out to dinner or have him to your house. Ron and Steve Haney had a Zoom meeting with him last month and he’s as kind and polite as you might imagine.
He will have a full schedule while he’s here. He will preach here at least 3 times and preach 3 times for other churches selected for him. He will have weekly meetings with Ron and our other ministers. He will have weekly meetings with Darren Williamson who directs the NW School of Discipleship. He will also meet regularly with the other 4 Interns in the northwest. He plans to totally immerse himself in the activities of the OC church.
