Rusape, Zimbabwe
We give praise to God that the drilling of a new well in Rusape, Zimbabwe was a success. The drilling commenced on Monday, May 20 and according to the drilling contractor, they tapped into a plentiful water supply. This well, which is equipped with a manual pump, is a beacon of hope, providing a reliable source of fresh water to the residents without the need for electricity.
The presence of this well is a game-changer for the community. With an ample water supply, the well is set to dramatically reduce the time and effort spent by individuals, particularly women and children, in fetching water from distant sources. This newfound convenience allows for more time to be dedicated to education and other productive activities, fostering a brighter future for the entire community.
Moreover, the availability of clean drinking water is expected to have a profound impact on public health. By reducing the reliance on contaminated water sources, the spread of waterborne diseases is anticipated to decrease significantly, leading to improved overall health and well-being.
The well’s strategic location on church grounds symbolizes the dual nature of sustenance it provides – physical nourishment through its water and spiritual nourishment through the spreading of the Gospel. The church’s commitment to providing ‘Living water’ in the form of spiritual guidance complements the tangible benefits of the well.
As the water flows from the well, so does the gratitude from the hearts of those it serves. The well stands not only as a source of water but also as a testament to the power of community and faith in action.
Thank you to all the donors for making this vision a reality.
