Dear Brethren.

Greetings to you all from Zimbabwe. It is our joy to share with you the work done in the month of September 2025. We really want to thank God for his divine protection during the mentioned month. On the 15th of September 2025 someone in South Africa who called himself a true prophet from God, falsely prophesied that from 21st of September to the 23rd the whole world will be covered by darkness and people should store food in their homes. He also said that all phones would not be functioning. Many people were being gripped with fear. In Mutungagore village three elderly people sold their goats and chicken. September 21st arrived and nothing happened. The Bible says, no one knows when the son of God shall return but we ought to be prepared.

JAIL MINISTRY

On the first week of September 2025, we visited Littlekraal Farm Prison twice. I was accompanied by brother William Mukuze. The visit was focused on sharing the Word of God and providing spiritual encouragement to the inmates. During that visit we preached the gospel, offered prayers and provided pastoral guidance to the prisoners. Through these efforts we try to remind inmates that God's Word brings hope, restoration, and encouragement regardless of their circumstances.

VISIT TO CHITORA PRIMARY SCHOOL

On the 2nd week of September brother Nesbert Zvinzveku and I went to Chitora Primary School which is located in the village community. The school head Mr. Makoni invited us to preach and conduct some lessons about the dangers of taking drugs. We went there for 3 days and many of the students got helped with our lessons.

ATTENDING COMMUNITY FUNERAL

On the 9th of September 2025, I went to attend the funeral of a young man who died as the result of a severe headache. His name was Amos Neshamba. He was 26 years old and single. He was doing his second year at the University, and he was studying law. Pray for his parents. They are still struggling to accept that their only child is no more.

BAPTISM AT MUTUNGAGORE CHURCH OF CHRIST

The saints at Mutungagore rejoiced greatly as three souls were added to the Lord on Sunday the 28th of September 2025. Having heard the gospel, believed in Christ, repented of sin, and confessed Jesus as Lord, the new converts were immersed in water for the remission of sins, in accordance with the scriptures [Acts 2:38]. Their names are Respect Chinyangwa, Chipo Chigura and Nyarai Chinyangwa.

DOOR TO DOOR KNOCKING

On the 4th week of September 2025, we held a one-week door to door knocking campaign at Mutungagore Church of Christ. We invited 4 preachers who came to help us, and we were camped at the Church site. These preachers are brother Rishon Gushure, Godwin Chimanga, brother Kamudimu as well brother Lameck Karikoga. We knocked at several homes in Mutungagore village sharing of the gospel with individuals, families in the community. In addition to our outreach, home visits were conducted, particularly among the Christian households, providing spiritual support, encouragement and fostering a sense of belonging among church members. The above mentioned new Christians were the result of this effort.

CHURCH ATTENDANCE/PREACHING AND GIVING

I preached two Sundays during the month of September. Brother Zumbika preached one Sunday whilst brother Ndikudzei taught the adult Bible class for three Sundays. Then on Sunday 28th of September we had a guest speaker, brother Webster Kasava. He preached a wonderful sermon from book of Philippians 3:10-14. Brother Rishon Gushure presided over the Lord table. Our average attendance for 3 Sundays was 27-29. While our average giving was $25.00 USD.  Then, on the 28th of September our attendance was over 200 people since during our one week outreach we invited so many people from the village to come and attend our Sunday worship service. Our giving for that Sunday was, $120.00 USD. We look forward to having another outreach programme next year during the same month.

PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Pray for our mission work as well as my family.
  • Pray for our country leaders.
  • Many of our poor people are really struggling to survive.
  • Many of our young people are dying due to involvement in drugs since many of these young people soon after graduating from colleges and universities find themselves unemployed.
  • Pray that one day the Lord will grant us with transport to use in our mission work. Sometimes we face challenges to reach some of our church members when they fall sick or when one dies. Last time when I and Simba travelled to attend one of our fellow preacher’s funeral we struggled to get transport and we had to wait until midnight when we finally got a transport to reach our destination.

We are also praying for our brother Joshua, his parents and his girlfriend that the Lord will continue strengthening them.

Lastly, we want to thank you all our brothers and sisters at Oregon City for your sacrificial love and financial support. Without you our mission work would be so difficult. May the Lord bless you all.

In Christ,

Nhamo and Brenda Mumba
