September marks the beginning of the summer season.
Bro Kamutambo lost his father the 1st day of the month. Bro Mukwindidza hired the commuter omnibus to carry people to the funeral. As soon as we arrived Br. Jana preached, and l song led. Br. Kamutambo was happy to see us as he expressed himself through crying. His father was 84 years old. He was buried on the 2nd day. Bro Gushure preached and l song led. The people who attended were 400.
My wife is still afraid to send Laura alone to school. Maybe because she's the only girl child. We accompanied her together to make sure she's safe and feels the love of parents. All her school fees were paid in full and on the first day. No kid is allowed to enter the gate without school fees payment. We will support her with her school work as she's working hard. This term they are going for an agricultural trip in Gweru as she insisted me to pay her trip fares. It is necessary for her to attend.
I had a follow up of cement pledges and people who made a promise fulfilled, we managed to gather an amount of 30 bags. I am giving my 3000 bricks to church to be used as well.
Late one night, I received a phone call from Bro. Magadaire, a preacher at Machongwe Church of Christ in Chimanimani and chairman of the MGM team. He was in Bazel, accompanied by a local policeman. Bro. Magadaire had traveled to Bazel to pay a fine following a car accident.
The accident occurred when Bro. Magadaire was driving behind a truck and a small car. Suddenly, cattle appeared on the road, and as he attempted to overtake, additional vehicles were approaching on the highway, which has only one lane. He collided with the car behind him. As a result, he was required to pay $1,200 for car repairs and a $100 police fine.
I provided Bro. Magadaire with shelter that night. Thankfully, no one was injured, and there were no fatalities. Bro. Magadaire expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by my wife.
On the 7th we gathered at Bazel we had a wonderful moment and service. After we dismissed to our respective homes, Br. Chadzingwa called and informed me about what he saw. He was distressed to see his cattle were damaged by an axe. All 3 cattle he used for ploughing were injured. A young boy aged 13 found them in the garden as they ate all the vegetables. Thank God the injured cattle healed. The police assigned the boy's father to foot all the medication needed.
Christians face a challenge during Sunday when they come to church as usual but after church service they go home and find thing not pleasing. l always comfort them and admonish them to not abstain from church services due to bad circumstances.
My garden was set on fire The 24th by Bhasera, a friend of Agripah. He came and asked for vegetables when l was absent. He was told to come when l am present. He went away sorrowful which planted a maggot in his mind and he returned and burned it the middle of the night. A neighbour, Mr. Mukwena saw it as his house is close to my garden and phoned me. We helped each other to put it out. As l informed the police, they thought it was Agripah, but he's on the run from the police. Last year, after l planted tomatoes, l bought one roll of fence and l need to buy 5 rolls to solve this problem. To avoid stealing l will mark it with red paint all over.
I fully prepared my sermon "A church relevant to the community Ephesians 3:10-11."I took my time preparing it. l preached to a multitude of 250 at around 20:00 hrs to 22:00 hrs. lt was well received and appreciated. Preachers who came after me did a very good job we started our meeting on the 26th-28th.
On Sunday Br. Pfumo preached, Br. Mukoyi song led and Br. Sithole was on the Lord's table, one man was added to the Lord's church, Br. Pangiwe, a teacher at Mushunje Primary. His home is near Chinyamanhanzva. I was very impressed to see him since he heard everything good l did when I was living in the area.
The 28th we advised people to to come to fellowship. Unfortunately, they were few coming my family and four ladies due to travelling costs.
I want to thank you for your support, may the Lord bless you all. l am particular for the accident which Br. Joshua was involved. May the dear Lord heal him. Please pass our sincere heart felt wishes.
God be with you till we meet.
Yours in Christ
