December 2024 Mission Report from Nhamo

Dear Brethren. Greetings to you all in Jesus’ name. Hope this report finds you all in good health. We thank God for enabling us to sail through one of the most difficult years. The effects of droughts are still with us. It was therefore not easy however, we managed through the providence of God

EVANGELISM WORK

During the month of December, 2024 we concentrated much of our door to door knocking in Mbiriri village. We reached over 55 households and shared several Bible lessons. Many of the people we met were very much interested to listen to the gospel. We distributed over 300 tracts with different lessons. 

MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT

As from 20 to 21 December we had a two day workshop on marriage enrichment at our church .The workshop was attended by some couples in the village who are not members of the church. Our guest speaker was brother Nesbert Zvinzveku, a preacher at Mukamba Church of Christ. He did a wonderful job. The attendance was over 70 couples. We look forward to having another workshop in 2025.

PRISON MINISTRY

On the 2nd week of December, we visited Nyazura prison with brother Zvinzveku as well as brother Mukuze. We delivered three Bible lessons and brother Zvinzveku preached.  There is a big need for some Bibles to interested inmates. Pray that the Lord will continue opening more hearts to the gospel 

VISITING THE SICK

We visited several sick people in the 4th week of December. Many of these people are the old ones in the village.  We shared the gospel with them and prayed for them

BIBLE STUDIES

On the 27th of December I met with over 12 new prospects for some Bible studies. I taught over four lessons and posed for some questions. Many of these prospects are unable to read but we're very good at listening and answering questions.

END OF YEAR YOUTH LECTURERSHIP

From 13 to 15 December there was an end of year Youth lectureship in Murambinda. There were 6 youths from our congregation who attended this lectureship. The attendance was very good.

CHURCH ATTENDANCE/PREACHING AND GIVING

I preached three Sundays and taught adult Bible class for one Sunday. Brother Mukuze from Nyazura preached one Sunday while brother Zumbika taught adult Bible class for three Sundays. Our average church attendance for the month of December was 27. Our average contribution was 45 dollars after converting it from Zimbabwean dollars.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please pray for my family and the mission work we are doing.

Pray for the rains so that we may have a better harvest.
