Dear Brethren. Christian greetings to you all in Jesus name.
Hope this report finds you all in good health. We thank God for the grace that showers our lives as we are going through difficult times in our country.
MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT WORKSHOP
On the 10th of February 2024 our congregation held a one-day marriage enrichment workshop. We also managed to invite some couples in the community to come and attend the workshop. Our invited guest did a splendid job. The attendance was about 56. We thank God that everything went very well.
EVANGELISM WORK
On the first week of February 2024, brother Nyarukowa and I managed to do door to door knocking in the east part of Chipunza village. We met several people, and we had a nice time sharing the gospel as well as answering some questions that were being raised by our prospects. We hope to revisit the place again in May, 2024.
VISIT TO A FARM PRISON
On the 23rd of February, 2024 myself and brother Zvinzveku we visited Nyazura farm PRISON. We shared the gospel both to the staff as well as to the prisoners. We had a special time listening to some prisoners as the gave their testimonies. We prayed for them all and encouraged them to continue reading some tracts that we distributed to them. Pray that the Lord will open their hearts to the Gospel.
ENCOURAGING STRUGGLING CHURCH MEMBERS
During the second and third weeks of February, 2024, I took my time and visited all our church members. To the most members it was so sad to hear about the situation which they are going through in their homes due drought situation. I encouraged them to remain faithful.
DROUGHT
The tradition leaders across the country are urging the government to intervene to facilitate food relief programme in communities across the country where many households are reported running out of food. But the government still seems to not want to take a quick action. We just continue appealing for your prayers.
BUILDING FUND
We started our one dollar building project. Yes ,we understand that it’s a difficult year for our poor members even to get a dollar as most of them rely on farming. We are encouraging them to give towards building a better infrastructure, We want to thank brother Dale and the church there at Oregon City for encouraging us to start a one dollar funding project that shall go towards renovating our building.
CHURCH ATTENDANCE/PREACHING AND GIVING
I preached three Sundays during the month of February and taught adults Bible class throughout the entire month. Our average attendance for the month of February was 25.
Our contribution averaged 25 dollars after converting it from Zimbabwean dollars. Brother Zumbika preached one Sunday.
PRAYER REQUESTS.
Above all I want to thank you brothers and sisters at Oregon City for your financial support, your prayers and for the love of our mission work here in Zimbabwe. We do also pray for you all that the Lord may shower more blessings upon you all.
In Christ,
Nhamo Mumba
