Dear Brethren.
Calvary greetings to you all in Jesus name.
June was the most coldest month and many people throughout the whole country were affected by a strong flu. Above, we just want to thank the Lord for his divine protection.
EVANGELISM WORK
During our door to door knocking we met an exuberant old lady who greeted us with a big smile. She invited us to her home where we shared the gospel with her family. The woman is a member of the Methodist church, but she showed much interest to the gospel which we shared to her. She told us to revisit her this month of July. May you please kindly pray for her and her family that the Lord may open their hearts to the gospel.
MEN'S FELLOWSHIP
On the 10th of June, 2023 we had men's fellowship at Resthaven Church of Christ. We had four guest speakers who spoke on different topic such as church growth as well as about health issues that men usually face as we group up. The attendance was about 45. We look forward to have another men's fellowship in September this year.
MAKONI LADIES LECTURESHIP
As from 22 -25th of June there was a women's lectureship which was held at Vengere Church of Christ. The lectureship went very well though some women failed to attend the lectureship due to cold weather. On that very Sunday all churches in Makoni district met at Vengere Church of Christ. We were all blessed with the sermon by brother Abraham a fellow preacher who preaches at Buhera Church of Christ.
FOLLOW UP FOR PROSPECT
On the 3rd week I made a follow up for all our new prospects in their homes. I taught them lessons concerning baptism and church. Many of these prospects were really surprised to hear that Jesus is the only founder of Church. Many of these people don't read the Bible. Pray that the Lord will open their hearts as we continue studying the gospel with them.
VISITING THE SICK
On the 4th week i visited several sick people in our in our community. It was also a great privilege to share the gospel to them as well as praying for them.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray for my children as they are about to sit for their exams. Pray also for me and the mission work here. We are also in great need of a bore hole at our church stand. After praying for so many years, the Lord granted us a church stand which was a former church stand for the Baptist church. There is a small church building shelter but open on all sides. There is a need of plastics chairs . Currently people just sit on the cold floor. Pray also for our country as we are looking forward for a harmonised elections next month. Pray for peace. Most of our previous elections were associated with violence and killings. Lastly thank you so much for your prayers and financial support.
We love you all.
Your brother. Nhamo Mumba
